Press Release Regarding the Attack Perpetrated in the People's Republic of China on 30 April 2014

We strongly condemn the terrorist attack perpetrated on 30 April 2014 in a railway station in Urumqi, the administrative center of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, resulting in the death of one citizen and the wounding of more than seventy-nine according to the state media. We express our condolences to the relatives of the deceased, and wish speedy recovery to the wounded.

Turkey has always stood against terrorism, regardless of its motivation.

We expect that the perpetrators of the attack in Urumqi will be arrested and brought to justice as soon as possible.
