We strongly condemn the decision of the Israeli Government to construct new illegal settlement consisting of 430 houses in the occupied West Bank.

It is not possible either for Turkey or for the international community to accept this decision of Israel aimed at creating a de facto situation through unilateral actions contrary to international law. This step taken by Israel also demonstrates that it does not take into consideration the consequences of the initiatives launched recently by the State of Palestine in the international arena.
