Press Release Regarding the Attack against the US Consulate General in Istanbul

An armed attack was perpetrated against the US Consulate General in Istanbul early this morning. We strongly condemn this terrorist attack and present our well-wishes to US mission members in Turkey, particularly the staff of the Consulate General.

We have increased security measures for the US missions in Turkey. Turkey, in solidarity with our friend and ally the USA, will resolutely maintain its fight against terrorism.
