QA-24, 10 May 2017, Statement of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hüseyin Müftüoğlu in response to a question regarding certain statements in an article published in the “Cyprus Mail” newspaper

Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 10.05.2017
An article concerning the Greek Cypriot Administration’s unilateral pursuit of hydrocarbon-related activities in disregard of the inalienable rights on natural resources of the Turkish Cypriot people, published in the GCA’s “Cyprus Mail” newspaper, contained groundless allegations which could be taken to imply that Turkey might have relinquished some of its rights and interests. The faulty assessments in the Turkish media based on these allegations are an exercise in futility.
