We feel deep indignation about the reports indicating that the DEASH terrorist organization has murdered many Turkoman civilians who were trying to escape from the villages in the vicinity of Talafar. We strongly condemn this barbaric act of terrorism. We share the grief of our Turkoman sisters and brothers and wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives.

The operation planned by the Iraqi Security Forces to liberate the people of Talafar from DEASH captivity should be carried out as soon as possible with utmost care to preserve the ethnic and sectarian fabric of the city.
