Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, accompanied by a delegation of experts from the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency and the Turkish Red Crescent, will conduct on the field studies of the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Gaza and the West Bank on 2-4 October 2017 and will meet with Agency officials.

This visit is carried out in conjunction with Turkey’s responsibilities in the Advisory Commission (AdCom) of the UNRWA as Vice Chair in 2017, and Turkey’s preparations for its Chairmanship of the said Commission in 2018.

During the visit, Deputy Minister Ambassador Yıldız will also meet UNRWA Commissioner General Pierre Krahenbühl, and discuss areas of future cooperation between Turkey and UNRWA.
