Republic Of Türkiye Ministry Of Foreign Affairs 16.01.2018

We are saddened about reports of casualties, damages to buildings as well as to commercial airplanes following clashes that took place at Mitiga Airport in Tripoli/Libya.

Armed groups in Tripoli and all over Libya must act in accordance with Libyan law and decisions taken by the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord.

We call upon all parties in Libya to refrain from steps that would lead to a new cycle of violence.
