QA-40, 25 May 2018, Statement of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hami Aksoy, in response to a question regarding the missile strike on Turkish bulk cargo vessel “Ince Inebolu”
Turkish bulk cargo vessel "Ince Inebolu" that was carrying the wheat it had embarked at the Port of Novorossiysk, Russia, to the Port of Saleef in Yemen was hit by a missile off the coast of Yemen at 23:15 local time on 10 May 2018.
The missile attack on the vessel, which had 23 members of crew aboard, all being Turkish citizens, did not cause any casualty or injury.
Our experts have been presently conducting their investigation and research into this incident. Once complete, the results of this investigation will be made public.
