No: 223, 30 September 2020, Press Release Regarding the Passing Away of H.E. Prof. Ali Bozer, A Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey
We are saddened to receive the news that a former Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Prof. Ali Bozer has passed away on 30th September.
During his tenure as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State, H.E. Prof. Bozer officially submitted membership application of the Republic of Turkey to the EU on 14th April 1987. He will always be remembered for this role that he played in Turkey-EU relations.
As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Directorate for EU Affairs, we convey our condolences to the grieving family of H.E. Prof. Bozer and hope that they find comfort and strength during their time of sorrow. We cherish his memory with due respect.
