QA-111, 15 November 2020, Statement of the Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Hami Aksoy, in Response to a Question Regarding the Operation of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Guerguerat region of the Morocco-Mauritania Highway
We are following the measures taken by the Kingdom of Morocco to ensure free movement of persons and goods in the Guerguerat buffer zone of the Morocco-Mauritania highway.
It is of importance to keep the region open for passages.
Turkey supports the efforts to achieve a just and lasting political solution to the Western Sahara issue within the scope of United Nations Security Council resolutions.
