No: 224, 24 June 2021, Press Release Regarding Honduras’ Relocating Its Embassy to Jerusalem

It is an unfortunate development that Honduras relocates its Tel Aviv Embassy to Jerusalem, holding the inauguration ceremony of the Embassy today (24 June). We condemn this decision.

With this step, Honduras has violated the international law, including the United Nations resolutions on the status of Jerusalem, and damaged the vision of a two-state solution as well as the prospects for peace in the region.

We call upon Honduras to rescind this wrong step.
