No: 228, 7 November 2025, Regarding the Re-election of Türkiye to the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
Türkiye has been elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for the 2025–2029 term in the elections held today (7 November) at the ongoing 43rd UNESCO General Conference in Uzbekistan.
Following its terms in 2017–2021 and 2021–2025, Türkiye will assume this responsibility for the third consecutive time.
Türkiye, a founding member of UNESCO, will continue its contributions to the Organization's goals, mission and ideals, as well as to international cooperation for the preservation of shared human values during its new term on the Executive Board.
